About Mellor
Mellor Bespoke is a project led by artist and tailor, Woody Mellor. After more than ten years dedicated to honing the craft of pattern cutting and tailoring in both London and Australia, Mellor is proud to launch a new bespoke denim service that offers a unique approach to construction, placing fit above tradition. Woody is opening his extensive, personal collection of deadstock selvedge denim to Melbourne customers who are looking for a unique, hand-made garment that blends the best of modern tailoring with functional workwear.
At Mellor, we believe in tailoring well fitting garments that make you feel comfortable in both the literal and figurative sense. This means catering to all genders and identities, with the hope that everyone might know the feeling of bespoke tailoring.
House Style
In the tradition of tailoring houses, we do offer a house style that has been developed over numerous pairs made for both customers, friends and personal projects. This is a mid-to-high-rise, button fly, with a roomy leg and seat, and a leg-opening/hem width calculated based on your height and shoe size, to ensure flattering proportions.
However, this is far from fixed. Ultimately we want you to walk away with a perfectly fitting pair of jeans that resonate with you and reflect your personal style.
